Prevention of corruption is one of the key tasks of every democratic society. Manifestations of corruption are the cause of the regression of the public administration system and the economic decline of the country as a whole. Civil servants annually carry out professional development in order to improve their competences aimed at preventing corruption.
Employees of four institutions, in particular: the Zarichny District Court of Sumy, the Sumy District Territorial Center for Procurement and Social Support, the Office of the State Agency for Land Reclamation and Fisheries in Sumy Region, the Northern Interregional Head Office of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in the State border held the training on the basis of the Sumy National University under the program “Prevention and Counteraction of Corruption Manifestations in State Authorities”. It was attended by about 60 civil servants of various categories.
The lecturers of the program were M. Havrylyuk and T. Myronenko. During the training, they discussed the peculiarities of the Laws of Ukraine, practical examples of corruption offenses, situational tasks, as well as components of the state anti-corruption policy for 2021-2025.
The training took place online using the Zoom platform. Effective communication was organized using chat in the messenger and e-mail. All trainees passed the final computer testing. Based on the results of the training, all trainees who successfully passed the test were issued with personal certificates of professional development.
We are sure that updated knowledge will serve as a guarantee of conscious opposition to manifestations of corruption and will have a positive effect on the effectiveness of the work of each student.
